The Israeli delegation visiting the United Arab Emirates to discuss the peace agreement joined leaders of the Jewish community of the Emirates for a historic Shachris prayer in Abu Dhabi, led by Rav Levi Duchman.

Members of the joint US-Israel delegation to the United Arab Emirates joined members of the local Emirati Jewish community led by their Rav for Sha’harit morning prayer services in a lounge at the prestigious St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

At the head of the Emirati Jewish delegation was Rav Levi Duchman , Rebbe’s Chalia’h and responsible for Kashrut in the Emirates, the only Rav residing permanently in the United Arab Emirates. He was joined by Dubai JCC President Solly Wolf and lawyer Russ Kriel , who heads the JCE, as well as other prominent local businessmen.

They were joined by Israel’s national security adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat , who heads Israel’s delegation to the United Arab Emirates.

After sounding the Shofar, Rav Duchman thanked the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan , and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan , for their visionary leadership, which resulted in the historic Abraham Accord.

Rav Duchman then quoted Maimonides, the medieval scholar who commands great veneration in the Jewish and Islamic worlds.
“Great is peace, for all Torah was given to create peace in the world,” he said, echoing the 850-year-old words of the sage whose life embodied the reality of peace among the people. Jewish and Islamic communities.
“I greet all those who are committed to peace. Welcome to the United Arab Emirates. You are all invited to the JCC and we are looking forward to great things together, ” he concluded.
